Mr. Silcott joined Walmart in 2013 as Associate General Counsel supporting Global Investigations and Ethics. In this role, Mr. Silcott conducted internal investigations and provided legal advice to Ethics and Compliance. He focused primarily on the company’s operations in the U.S. and Latin America.

In 2015 Mr. Silcott was promoted to Senior Associate General Counsel. In his current role, he continues to support Walmart’s Global Governance organization by providing strategic and legal advice on various aspects of the program. His team is responsible for assessing worldwide allegations of breaches of the company’s statement of ethics and expected business practices and for determining the appropriate response.

Before joining Walmart, Mr. Silcott practiced law at Hughes Hubbard & Reed and Dickstein Shapiro. He earned his J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he was the managing editor of the Columbia Business Law Review. He has a bachelor’s degree in international studies from Macalester College.
