We are pleased to welcome Isabella Bellera Landa to the HNBF Board of Directors!

Isabella specializes in international disputes management, including both international arbitration and litigation, as well as government relations advisory work. Her practice has a particular focus in the financial sector, as well as technology and energy transition issues. She has received both a J.D. and LL.B. in common and civil law jurisdictions, respectively, which allow her to seamlessly navigate various legal systems and structure advice accordingly.

She is a Senior Associate at White & Case and a Senior Lecturing Fellow at Duke Law, where she co-teaches a seminar on foreign direct investment and legal finance. At her Firm, she is also actively involved in pro bono matters, which include initiatives to promote the use of alternative dispute resolution in developing countries. During law school at Duke University, Isabella assisted the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Trafficking in drafting the Basic Principles on the Right to an Effective Remedy for Trafficked Persons.

Isabella was born and raised in Venezuela where she led various initiatives and organizations focused on the promotion of freedom of speech and the education of young leaders at leading business schools.
